What Mint has to offer

Mint Mobile Price Comparison
To help you see just how much money you could save on your cell phone bill, let’s do a quick price comparison. A two person unlimited plan with Verizon is currently listed at $130 per month. A 10GB plan with Mint Mobile is only $25 per person, so $50 a month for two people. That’s a big difference. Now you may be wondering why I compared the price of an unlimited plan with that of a 10GB plan. First of all, Mint actually does offer unlimited data with all their plans. That data will just be at a slower speed once you use up your 2, 5 or 10GB of high speed data. But that means that you won’t find yourself completely without data, even if you happen to use up your high speed data allotment. It also means that you won’t be charged anything for going over your data allotment like some companies do. Probably the most important thing to remember, though, is that unless you use around 3 times as much data as the average American, 10GB might as well be unlimited as far as you’re concerned.

3 Reasons Mint Can Offer Such Great Prices
I realize that all this may sound a little too good to be true, which makes many people wonder “How is it they can offer such low prices for cell service?” And if you are wondering this, that just makes you a smart human being and a careful shopper, so good for you. I asked myself the same question before I started using Mint. Thankfully, they have this great little intro video where a green, cartoon fox (their mascot) explains just how it is that Mint Mobile is able to offer these low prices…And it basically comes down to three things:Reason One: The Principle of Buying in Bulk

Reason Two: Online Only

Reason Three: Less Wasted Data

FAQ’s
How much data do I need?
The average American uses between 2GB and 5GB of mobile data each month, so 5GB would probably be a good amount for most people.
However, the best way to gauge your data needs is simply to check and see how much data you actually use. The easiest way to do this is to check your phone bill, as it should say how much data you used in any given payment period (which is usually about 30 days).
How reliable is the Mint Mobile network?
Mint Mobile uses the T-mobile network, which is one of the best in the nation. I actually had an experience where I was up at a cabin in the woods of Idaho. I was still able to get service, but my friend, who was with Sprint, told me he wasn’t getting service.
What if I get Mint and decide I don't like it?
Thankfully Mint Mobile has a 7-day, no questions asked, money-back guarantee. And that seven days starts when you activate your account and officially switch your phone over to the Mint Mobile network, not when you order your SIM card.
So with this guarantee, you can buy and try Mint Mobile with no risk. If you decide you want your money back, you’ll get it, and you can keep the SIM card. No fuss, no muss.
When does my plan start?
Your plan starts when you activate your account, which will allow Mint Mobile to switch your phone over to their network. You pay for your first three months (or whatever period of time you decide to prepay for) when you order your SIM card, but that three months doesn’t start until you have activate your phone. So while the SIM card is in the mail, and any time between when you receive your SIM card and when you activate it does not count towards your prepaid service time.
